In this guide, we'll show you how to build your monthly local area marketing plan, or LAM plan, in ClubPilot, request a budget for an event, and submit the plan for review. We're using a club manager's view. Pause whenever you need to. Open LAM plans from the menu on the left. You'll see your previous plans, and whether each one was approved. To start next month's plan, click New monthly plan. Check the club, and the month the plan is for. ClubPilot suggests the next month without a plan. Under Audience, offer and channels, there's a row for each group you might target, like ex members, new members, or referrals. You don't need every row. Only fill in the groups you're actually working on this month. We'll target ex members. In Offer or activity, say what you're offering them. We'll write, no joining fee to come back in October. In Channels, say how you'll reach them. For example, SMS and email. In Outcome, set a measurable target, so you'll know if it worked. We'll aim for fifteen members back. Then the follow-up action: what you'll do next, and when. For example, call anyone who hasn't replied after a week. Add the follow-up date, so it shows on the calendar. Important: any row you start needs all four parts, the offer, the channels, the outcome, and the follow-up action. Otherwise the plan can't be submitted. Next, LAM events. Add each event or activation you're running. Give it a name, a calendar date, and a focus. If the event needs money, enter the budget you're requesting, and a lead target, so the reviewer can see what the spend should achieve. Use Manager notes for anything your reviewer should know, like support you need from the team. Now click Save draft. Your plan is saved as a draft, and only you can change it. You can come back and keep working on it any time. Because the event has a budget, click Request budgets. This sends the spend to your reviewer to approve, before the whole plan. The event's budget now shows as Requested. When the plan is complete, click Submit for review. The plan's status changes to Submitted, and your reviewer is alerted. Your area manager reviews the budget and the plan. They'll either approve it, or send it back with notes. If changes are requested, update your draft, save it, and submit it again. Once it's approved, the event and follow-up dates appear on the approved LAM calendar. That's it. New monthly plan, fill in the groups you're targeting, add your events and budgets, save the draft, request budgets, and submit for review. Thanks for watching.
